Pratt & Whitney, a leader in the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines, space propulsion systems, and industrial gas turbines, has established strategic university partnerships with Georgia Tech, Penn State, and Virginia Tech further strengthening the current relationships with these institutions that are renowned for their world-class engineering education and research capabilities.
Pratt & Whitney will partner with the universities on fundamental research initiatives that support the design and development of state-of-the-art gas turbine propulsion systems used in commercial, military and emerging technology, and environmental programs. The close working relationships will enable the company to capture the innovative expertise and ideas of the faculty and students at these leading engineering universities.
These universities will strategically partner with Pratt & Whitney in the areas of combustion, materials, aerodynamics, heat transfer, structural analysis, design, test, and sensors.
