Canon Virginia, Inc. is currently seeking qualified applicants for an open position as an Entry Level Electrical Engineer at their Newport News, Va. facility. The successful candidate will: provide electrical engineering support to implement and/or design production equipment and systems; support production line startups and continuous improvement; utilize strong PLC and robotics knowledge to be used in equipment installation and modification; design automated production equipment and systems, such as instrument controls, machines, and mechanical/electrical systems, by applying knowledge of engineering principles; and troubleshoot equipment problems. The position requires a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and 1-3 years experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Must be experienced with PLC programming, both writing and troubleshooting programs. Experience in robot programming preferred. Strong electro/mechanical skills and experience required.
