A qualified candidate will bring to the position significant experience managing large-scale, multi-phase commercial development projects. The individual selected for this position will report to the City Manager and coordinate with all City departments to facilitate this project’s success.

Design engineer for industrial projects using mostly steel and some concrete. Structural component designs using StaadPro. Emphasis will be placed on steel design and modeling. Overview of Responsibilities:
Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. has multiple entry level and mid level positions available in our Virginia Beach, VA office.
Candidate must be capable of managing and designing the layout of new and upgraded outside electrical and communications installations. Candidate will supervise as well as perform photometric modeling of outside lighting installations. Candidate will design electrical power and communications distribution for residential, commercial and specialty outside plant applications to include outside plant LAN and WAN designs. Designs may include design load calculations and conduit/conductor layout and sizing as well as network diagrams and communications diagrams or splicing tables.
